Torino Chocolate Dark Balsamic

Description

Torino is known throughout Italy for its high quality chocolate and coffee. This is a blend of high quality cocoa (whole ingredient) with our Traditional 18 Year Style dark balsamic to create our newest incarnation of Chocolate Balsamic. The flavour is enormous, and similar to wine, you will notice sophisticated mid-notes and a long finish that one would expect from high quality chocolate. This vinegar’s fruity and prune-like centre notes pair perfectly and infuse the chocolate flavour into your favourite recipes. Use for marinating meats such as slow cooked pulled pork, braised meats or as a replacement for sugar in your favourite baked goods. Pair this balsamic with Chipotle olive oil to make a perfect Mole sauce, or mix with Blood Orange olive oil or with extra virgin olive oil oil to make a delicious marinade. Your cheese plates and gelato will love this one of a kind vinegar. Did we mention it is to die for in Chocolate Martinis?

What is balsamic oil or balsamic vinaigrette & why is balsamic vinegar different?
While many use the terms balsamic vinaigrette and balsamic vinegar interchangeably, it's essential to understand the distinction between the two. Balsamic vinegar is a rich, dark, and concentrated liquid made from freshly crushed grape juice, which is aged for several years in wooden barrels. Its signature sweet and tangy flavour is a result of this prolonged aging process. On the other hand, balsamic vinaigrette is not a traditional product and is typically a blend of olive oil infused with balsamic vinegar flavours. This blend offers a milder taste, making it suitable for those who prefer a more subdued balsamic essence in their dishes. Some popular oil & vinegar pairings are listed above.
